Kania Women in Business
The Kania Women in Business (KWIB) Club at the University of Scranton is a student-led organization that empowers women who are pursuing careers in business by providing them with opportunities to develop leadership skills, gain professional knowledge, and build meaningful relationships. The club hosts a variety of events, including speaker panels, workshops, and portfolio development, all designed to foster confidence and prepare members for success in competitive business environments. In addition to professional development, KWIB also emphasizes service, collaboration, and community building, creating a supportive environment where students can grow both personally and professionally.
As Finance Chair, I am responsible for managing the financial operations of the club and ensuring that we have the resources needed to support our initiatives. My role involves creating and maintaining the annual budget and monitoring expenses. I also coordinate fundraising events and work with local businesses to secure sponsorships and donations, which allow us to expand our programming and provide valuable opportunities to our members. In this position, I play a key role in sustaining the financial health of the organization while helping the club continue to empower women in business through impactful programming and initiatives.
