Business Intelligence and Legal Compliance Intern

As a Business Intelligence and Legal Compliance Intern at Pierre Fabre Pharmaceuticals, I gained direct exposure to the rapidly evolving U.S. Cell & Gene Therapy (C&GT) market while supporting legal and compliance initiatives. My work focused on analyzing industry trends, competitive positioning, and regulatory considerations that impact pharmaceutical operations. This experience allowed me to apply both business strategy and legal insights to support Pierre Fabre’s growth objectives in oncology and rare diseases.

Within the business intelligence scope, I conducted extensive research on the top CAR-T and other cell therapies in late-stage development or recently launched in the U.S. market. I compiled industry profiles, analyzed market sales, benchmarked commercial activation drivers, and created SWOT assessments of leading therapies. By presenting these findings in a structured KPI-focused project, I delivered actionable insights on competitive dynamics and market opportunities, which were shared with the Pierre Fabre leadership team.

On the legal and compliance side, I examined key nuances between U.S. contract and commercial law and their implications for pharmaceutical operations. I also explored case studies of enforcement decisions in the industry and supported the development of compliance training materials. By bridging market intelligence with legal frameworks, I contributed to a well-rounded perspective on how pharmaceutical companies balance growth, innovation, and regulatory responsibility in a highly competitive sector.

What this experience taught me was that I truly believe I had chosen the right major. I never initially knew was sector I wanted to enter after college, but being a business administration major exposed me to a variety of courses that allowed me to narrow my focus down to management and intelligence. I loved being able to take my skills and experiences from those courses and apply them to the project I had completed during my time there, and I look forward to using that as leverage for whatever is to come in my career later on.
